A space for all to chat and have a cuppa
At New Beginnings Outreach Centre, we are dedicated to providing a supportive community for all. Our space is designed for people to come and chat and to have a cuppa. Our volunteers are trained to offering a helping hand and a listening ear.

Op Shop

Our beautiful Op Shop is the fundraising arm of our outreach. The monies rasied from the Op Shop sales is put towards covering the rent of our builiding that houses the Outreach ministry and also provides funds to assist those in need.
We offer clothing vouchers of $15 which enables clients to purchase clothing to household items. We also offer regular freebees to our homeless clients .
We really appreciate all of the donations of good quality clothing and household goods that makes our shop so popular. Unfortunately we also recieve lots of goods that are under par of the standard we keep in selling to the public. We are so grateful to Raj and the team at Paraquads that pick up our excess clothing weekly.

Food Hampers
We provide 50 food hampers every week to struggling families and individuals at no cost. This includes meat, fresh fruit and veg, bread, pantry staples and dairy products when available.
To be eligible for this all folks have to do is come into the shop and complete a form.
We also supply local schools with fresh fruit.
On average we give out over 3,000kg of food every month.
Our amazing volunteer workforce makes this possible.

Starfish Cafe
The Starfish Cafe, recently opened by Mandurah Mayor Amber Kearns is our latest project by which we aim to support the homeless by helping to fund supplies for our community of rough sleepers.
We understand that the problem is huge, but like the story of the thousands of grounded starfish who were thrown back to sea one by one making a small change to the whole but a massive difference to the one, so we can do the same!
We provide barista coffee, speciality teas, milk shakes, home baking and soup in warm winter.
We also have a pay it forward system where folks can pay ahead for a drink for someone in need.

Lotus Support & Counselling Service
Everybody should have a choice of where and how they live, and homelessness should never be someone’s last or only choice. Homelessness is the result of a change of life circumstances, often beyond a person’s control, and impacts on a person's ability to participate fully in the community, and to enjoy basic rights and freedoms. People requiring mental health support are often limited by cost, and long wait times for affordable counselling services.
In Mandurah, where many people experience homelessness and disadvantage, Lotus Support & Counselling Services will continue to operate with compassion and understanding, to deliver hope and support for people experiencing homelessness in our community, in addition to the provision of fee-free counselling services, with no wait times for people experiencing disadvantage.
